Meet AUDL Student Intern: Karease Quashie

Hi my name is Karease Quashie. I’m currently a junior at Emory University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. I’m a member of the Barkely Forum for Debate, Deliberation, and Dialogue and have debated for four years in high school and three years in college. Some of my interests outside of debate include reading afro-pessimist and afro-futuristic literature, swimming, eating Caribbean food, and using chemical research as a means of remedying health disparities in minority communities.  I love working for the AUDL, because it gives me the opportunity to enrich the debate experiences of students genuinely interested in debate. My favorite part about being a student intern is interacting with students and judging their wonderful debate rounds.
