Digital Debate Center
The Digital Debate Center is an open digital forum, staffed by Atlanta Urban Debate League (AUDL) professional staff members, to support ongoing coach and student debate education. Each Digital Debate Center session focuses on a different aspect of debate skill development, including topic knowledge, speaker presentation, and debate strategy, in addition to breakout sessions for smaller group and one-on-one study.
The Digital Debate Center also provides:
An exhibition for parents/teachers seeking to learn more about debate and how to get their students involved
Tournament performance review and feedback; and, an opportunity to get individualized feedback from college debate instructors
Low student-to-instructor ratio
Networking opportunity for debate students, instructors, debate parents, etc.
Currently, the Digital Debate Center is only open to members of the Atlanta Urban Debate League.
How to Register
The Digital Debate Center is be hosted on select Thursdays, from September to April, using the Zoom meeting platform. Coaches will be provided with a Zoom meeting link the Monday prior to the Thursday session, in the weekly coaches e-mail. All students wishing to participate in the Digital Debate Center should have parental consent before requesting the meeting link from their coach.
Coaches should register their school participation by completing the form below, prior to the start of the Digital Debate Center session they wish to attend.
