Our Programs

The Atlanta Urban Debate League is committed to providing excellent debate education programs, services, and opportunities to diverse students, educators, and members of the community by teaching, empowering, and equipping them with advocacy and life skills necessary to make a profound and positive impact in the world.

The AUDL hosts elementary, middle, and high school debate tournaments two to three times per month.

The AUDL offers several one-week debate camps throughout the Metro-Atlanta area that teach elementary, middle, and high school debaters the fundamentals of debate, public speaking, and an introduction to the topic for the upcoming year.

The AUDL provides the opportunity for debate coaches at AUDL member schools to learn debate fundamentals, debate team management best practices, and to build community and a network of support.

The Digital Debate Center is an after-school program where member schools of the AUDL are invited to an online platform for supplemental debate training from AUDL student interns, volunteers, and professional staff.

The Debate Ambassadors program is a selective program for advanced AUDL high school debaters to compete in large regional and national debate tournament competitions.

AUDL student interns, volunteers, and professional staff travel to member schools to assist with debate practices.

The Alex Zavell Internship honors the life of AUDL Alumnus Alex Zavell, a teacher, judge and mentor; for his hard work, willingness to help others and mission to build bridges between people with a diversity of perspectives.
