ASB Frequently Asked Questions

where do I submit my speeches?

  • There is a link to each Round’s submission form in the Resource Packet for that round.

how many people can compete from my school each round? 

  • For Rounds 1 and 2, there are an unlimited number of entries allowed for AUDL Member Schools.

  • For the Final round on April 25, 2026, there will be a selection based on average cumulative scores from rounds 1 and 2, with attention to having every participating schools represented at this final event. Participating in both preliminary rounds of the ASB will increase your chances of being a finalist.

if I didn’t compete in round 1, can I compete in future rounds?

  • Yes! Students can choose to compete in either of the preliminary rounds. Participation in both rounds is not necessary and you can choose to compete in the rounds that best fit your schedule.

do coaches have to upload asb speeches?

  • No! Students participating can upload their speeches to be evaluated. If you are a student participating in the ASB, please let your coach know!
