Support AUDL Programming & Operations

It is only with the support of our community that the Atlanta Urban Debate League is able to provide students from the metro-Atlanta area and beyond with access to debate; an educational activity that has been proven to increase students’ long-term academic, social, and emotional development. And while there are many ways to support the league, financial donations remain one of the most impactful.

Funds from donations to AUDL Programming & Operations go to support much-needed items such as:

  • School Annual Membership Fee Grants

  • Internships and Fellowships for Urban Debate League Alumni

  • Supplies and Food for In-Person Programming and Tournaments

  • PPE and Cleaning Supplies for In-Person Programming and Tournaments

  • Tech Support for Virtual Debate Programming

  • Awards, Trophies, and Incentives for Participating Students, Coaches, and Schools

Support AUDL Summer Debate Programming

The AUDL hosts summer debate programming for rising 6th-12th grade debaters that are members of the AUDL and for the general public. Students that attend summer debate camps are given the opportunity to learn the basics of speech and debate or polish their already-developed skills in a fun and rigorous academic environment. Students that attend debate camps have the advantage of getting a head start on learning the topic for the upcoming year and make friends from schools across the league.

Funds from donations to AUDL Summer Debate Programming go to support:

  • Scholarships for individuals to attend camp

  • Supplies for student learning

  • Awards, Trophies, and Incentives for participants

  • Internships and Fellowships for AUDL Alumni and AUDL Debate Coaches

To designate your donation for students from a specific school, please include the school name in a comment on the form below when making the donation.

Support AUDL High School Regional & National Debate

The AUDL is excited to support high school debaters in tournaments outside of ones provided by the AUDL. You can choose to specifically support AUDL schools’ regional and national tournament participation by selecting ‘AUDL Debate Ambassadors’ below. Debaters that compete in regional and national tournaments get the opportunity to expand their debate experiences by engaging with debaters, judges, and ideas from around the state and country. Urban debate league debaters that compete in regional and national circuits are more likely to continue to debate in college and are more competitive for college debate scholarships.

By selecting AUDL Debate Ambassadors, your donation will be used to provide:

  • Grants for Schools to Use for Tournament Entry and Judge Fees

  • Grants for Travel Expenses to Tournaments

  • Coaching and Instructional Support for Teams

  • Technology Support for Students to Compete in Virtual Regional and National Tournaments
